Key Skills First Aid is owned and managed by myself , Mark Rogers , and i am commited to protecting your personal data and processing it in a fair and transparent manner. i am in effect the ” controller ” of any personal data you provide.
This privacy policy will set out how your personal information is managed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation ( GDPR )
This policy contains important information about how your personal data will be collected , used and stored and explains your own rights in relation to that data.
We will not share your information with third parties unless you request that we do , or for legal or regulatory purposes.

- Details collected over a telephone call , in writing or through social media
- Details passed on reporting a problem
We may collect your name , date of birth , e mail address and postal address along with details of any medical problems disclosed.
If you provide any information about individuals other than yourselfyou must make sure that they have given you permission and understand how their information will be used and stored.
Your data may be used for the following legitimite purposes :
- To notify you of qualification lapsing.
- To communicate any details regarding a course.
- To communicate in relation to payment.
- To discuss any problems.
- To notify you of any new courses , products or services.
individuals have the right to refuse this and any of the above can be objected to.
Your data will be used for contractual obligations :
- To provide qualifications.
- To communicate with you in relation to the contracted product or service.
- To supply admin support.
- To set up payments.
Access to your personal data will be limited to those with a genuine operational need to know it:
- Qualification Awarding Bodies
- Legal and professional advisers
- Service Providerssuch as IT and Website services
- Law enforcement or other authorities
How long is your information stored ?
Where there is an agreement between us your personal data will be retained for a period of five years following termination or expiry in order to comply with regulatory requirements.
With Accredited Qualifications , personal data will also be held for five years by the appropriate Awarding Body.
Transmission of information on the internet is never totally secure but we will strive to protect your data. Any transmission is at your own risk even though security features will be used to prevent unauthorised access.
Your Rights :
Access
if you can verify your identity the you have a right to request a copy of personal data held about you. This can be done by e mail.
Please allow a calender month if this copy is requested.
This could not be done if it revealed information about another individual or for any other legal reason.
Updating
you have the right to update your personal details at any time.
Deletion
you have the right to have personal information removed if for example there is no legitimate interest in continuing to process your information.
Objection
if you feel there is no there is no legitimate interest in your details being held . If this is the case then contact us by e mail.
Please Note GDPR sets out exceptions to these rights. If we cannot comply with your request due to an exception we will explain this to you in our response.
Complaints
if you believe your data protection rights may have been breachedplease contact Key Skills First Aid by e mail and we will attempt to resolve the issue. If this is not satisfactory then you may submit a complaint to the Information Commissioners Office. ( ico make a complaint )
